Start to finish this book had my roped in and wouldn’t let me go. I’m seriously obsessed with Dakota and Wyatt’s story!
I adored all the moments between Dakota, Wyatt and his daughter Vienna. Those moments seriously melted my heart. Especially when you find out where Vienna’s name came from! Wyatt was able to help Dakota understand that the right person, will love every single part of her.

This book was perfect. It had all the angst and heart with a dirty-talking hockey player and a sassy, quick-witted art student. There was growth between the characters individually which I loved. Rhode was complicated in that he cares about Nina but their lives are in different places. He’s considerate of her anxiety and he respects her, something she’s sorely lacked in her life.

There were so many moments with them that just melted my heart. And Rhode, holy crap, talk about one of the sexiest men in books. The tension between him and Nina had me propelling through the pages, their tension so palpable I couldn't wait to get to the scenes where it broke, and they finally gave in and aahhhh the spicy level is perfect! Not only that, but there's true depth to the characters. They have lives and fears and wants. Things that get in their way. I felt so seen in Nina's character. I felt so devasted right along with them, so turned on right along with them. This book has everything you want from a spicy romance!

This book though, another indie author smacking their debut out of the park! I loved Rhode and Nina so much; their meet cute was perfect and their chemistry was on point from that first moment (that kitchen scene, too 😮💨
Another part of hockey romances that I live for are the found family vibes. They’re always so special and the scenes that Rhode had with his teammates were so touching. I shed a tear (or five) in the fishing scene #IYKYK!
